|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Eisenhower, Mt. Pierce, NH|
||Edmands Path, Eisenhower Loop, Crawford Path, Webster Cliff Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, May 21, 2022|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||No issue spotting cars at Crawford Depot and Edmands Path this morning around 7. All lots full and overflowing upon completion at 12:30. |
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow/Ice - Monorail (Unstable) |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||One at the bottom of Edmands was flowing decent, but no issues getting across. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Multiple blowdowns on Edmands. They have been de-limbed, but are still lying across the trail. |
||Saw a bunch of happy ones today! |
||Out, but not really biting. More annoying than anything. |
|Lost and Found:
||First trip up Edmands this year did not disappoint! Trail is clear until right by the cascade up high. Some monorail from there until treeline, but it’s spotty and can be avoided.|
Crawford Path is 98% clear between the peaks, save for a few short areas in the trees.
Coming down Pierce, there is one decently long section of monorail, but it can be straddled. Otherwise Crawford Path was quite wet and muddy (parts of the trail was basically walking in a stream).
