| Water Crossing Notes: |
Took my shoes off for the crossing ~1 mile in both ways out of caution, but if you have long legs and/or are confident in your ability to step on slick rocks, you’ll be fine. All other crossings were easily rock-hopped. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Several downed trees along the trail requiring big steps over |

None today :( |

The trail is almost completely snow-free! Patchy ice started around 3900 feet but was easily avoided for the most part. Not enough of it to warrant putting on microspikes. The first ~2 miles are mostly dry, and then it gets fun - mud and standing/running water galore! Don’t bother trying to keep your feet dry on the water crossings, because they WILL get wet on the trail. Awesome day overall though! The wind was howling, but the trail was nicely sheltered. Only saw two people all day. |
