Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All rock hoppable, poles helped me out greatly.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Few blowdowns (one that concerned me most was one near end of Cedar Brook section--it's about 8 feet off ground with pointed branches pointing downward--with 2 feet of snow these will be eye high). If I had my saw I would've done the easy cut today. For more detailed report see report from bryan(9-13-2011)
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Nice loop for dogs; plentiful water today.
Bugs
Bugs: A few around.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful hiking day. 12 hikers met today. Some frost and minimal ice near top of South Hancock. Lots of trail damage from Irene exspecially on Cedar Brook section.

As stated in Trail Maintenance Notes see 9-13-2011 report by bryan for excellent detailed report of conditions. Still a nice loop to do; you may want to add 1/2 hour time for hike do to roughed up trails.
