Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Carrigain Brook was running high. I found a rock hop using partly submerged rocks. I saw many others fording the brook. The normally dry stream beds were flowing nicely, but none were difficult to cross.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few blow downs on Carrigain Notch Trail between Signal Ridge and Nancy Pond Tr. None were difficult to get passed. One 3' diameter tree across the trail, but you can walk between it and its stump.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great hike for Fido, saw a few happy pups.
Bugs
Bugs: Swarming at the parking lot, a couple landed later, but none of consequence...yet.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I dropped a trowel along the way. Not worth returning. If you find it, do what you will with it.

Comments
Comments: Very warm day for May. The normally dry stream beds along Carrigain Notch trail were flowing nicely. Treadway was dry, until the thunderstorms.
I cleared the blow downs between Nancy Pond trail and Stillwater Jct., except one large one which can be stepped over.
