Precipice Path East, Main Trail, Yellow Trail, Dave Roberts Quarry Trail (white), Red Trail
This hike was an efficient way to visit 6 peaks in the Belknap range, but it wasn't a particularly scenic hike. I think the very high temperature for the time of year may have decreased my enjoyment a bit as well (the display at the bank in Alton said 90 degrees). The trail was in good condition with only patches of shallow mud. There was a lot of small wildlife to be seen along the trail, including many species of birds. I only saw one other person all day. The swarming flies were a nuisance all day but I was only bitten once. |
