Please, for the love of god, bring spikes!! At least half of this trail is still an ice flow. There were so many people out there today hiking and sneakers and slip and sliding all over the place. I even saw some people hiking barefoot. There was absolutely no reason for this (it may feel like august but it’s not!!) and these people were struggling and presenting a risk for potential search and rescue needs. Lots of mud too. Just be prepared to get messy! |
