Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at LW. The porta potties are still there so assuming bathrooms are still closed but not positive. Always a pleasure to see the summer route open, saving all those extra 20 steps down the ramp :)
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Postholes
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: First crossing was barely doable with dry feet. 2nd and 3rd we took the shoes off. I’m 6-1 and the water level was over my knees. Strong current. And that’s all just runoff, if any of the storms hit tomorrow it’s going to get real spicy.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes:
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Crossings would require carrying your dog, Jackson stayed home with mom today.
Bugs

Comments
Comments: Went out on a little recon mission with Chase, Denise, and Bethanee. Few other people out today, oddly nobody but us had traction. Took the slide which is snow/ice free until it basically turns back into a trail, then spikes were helpful. Conditions up top weren’t as bad as we expected. The snowpack has taken a beating. See notes above on the crossings.
