Another bright day for this morning out and back. There was a nice slight breeze on top but no wind otherwise. Seeing yesterday's report on post holing on Carriage, I decided not to loop. I barebooted to the summit but in retrospect would have put light traction on at the top third of the mountainside. The trail is mostly dry until about 1/2 mile beyond the final bridge as well as the sun exposed section on the summit. I wore Hillsounds on the descent after the uppermost bridge to keep from slipping. |
