Cool start , Warm finish. Still plenty of collapsing snow and ice at approximately 3,600-4,000 feet along the Israel Ridge Tr. All Brook crossings in this lightly traveled area are manageable but caution is advised. The brook scenery is stunning (don’t miss the Forks of Israel confluence) and climbing up to Emerald Bluff is a worthy destination. The views out over Castle Ravine and up to Mt. Jeff. and vicinity are astonishing! #1 and #2 Cascades along Israel Ridge descending was another fantastic feature of this circuit. Saw no one all day. |
