Great day. Definitely glad I had sunscreen. Bugs not as bad here as seem to be reported on trails near/on Presidentials. Sure the right weather day (low wind, more humidity) will change this, although probably only 10 mph at summit. Barebooted on way up. Microspikes on way down until about 0.5-0.75 mile lower than tentsite. Minimal postholing when snow became more consistent near AT.
Will be a zoo on trail this weekend, I’m sure, but only saw one other couple for this PM hike. |
