Comments
Comments: The beautiful, warm weather had finally taken its toll on trail conditions today. We bare booted to 3400’ then wore spikes until our return to that elevation. Raised monorail is just forming above that and it was unstable, particularly where it was in the sun. We postholed or slipped off it frequently. The tedious conditions continued to the summit spur. This wasn’t unexpected. :)
Another super hike with Chris. Wildflowers were stunning along the lower herd path/trail and views up high were magnificent.
