Clear blue skies and no wind today. Great views all around. 19MB was mostly dry to the first junction, then snow pack from there. The Hillsounds went on at the second junction although some put them on a bit before. They stayed on until about half way down the ski slope. Up to Wildcat A was packed snow and ice with some dicey ice and slushy sections. I would not want to descend it. Nice hard monorail for the most part from A to D with a well defined center. There was some slippage on the descent from C on the icy sections of which there were quite a few. Traction will be needed for a while. |
