Comments
Comments: Another nice OTHH outing on a totally clear day. There still is some ice up in the last 1/4 mile below the top, in the shade. Most of this can be largely avoided bareboot, but there is one steep, iced section across the width of the trail, for which we donned microspikes up and back down. Even then, poles really helped. There is evidence of folks without traction bypassing the ice offtrail. Some further melting will occur in this week's warm weather, but that one tricky spot may last into the weekend.
