Trail is water starved during the dry season. Some water in low spots today. A couple of ledges may require owner assistance for some dogs. |

Bothersome black flies in areas protected from the breezes. I got some in the eyes and nose. Had two ticks. |

| Comments: |
Trail has no snow or ice. There are a couple of difficult ledges requiring scrambles and/or hand holds. I walked the 0.1 miles down the Doublehead Trail to the outlook ledge to get my first view of the day to Squam Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee. Great views from the summit ledges. There is a Museum of Science Boston Ma survey marker at the top of Mt Morgan. Saw red trillium and yellow violets near the beginning of the trail.
All but 1 hiker I met today were walking the popular Morgan-Percival Loop. One hiker from Alaska was jogging up Mt Morgan then over the ridge and down the Doublehead Trail. |
