Comments
Comments: A truly beautiful day on Pierce and Eisenhower. Dry trail to start, packed snow started around 3000 ft which is where we donned the rock spikes. Stable monorail all the way to
the summit of Pierce. The track between Pierce and Eisenhower was a mixed bag of exposed rock/trail and compacted snow. Staying in the center of the trail prevented post
holing. After summitting Eisenhower, we opted to complete Eisenhower Loop trail, and return to Crawford Path to complete the loop around the summit cone. The section of CP from
between the two Eisenhower Loop junctions was much less travelled and unstable. Several postholes were had. This section of trail is very narrow and tree lined, requiring care to
avoid branches smacking you in the face. We were happy to return to the more heavily traveled section of CP returning to Mt Pierce. Shout-out to Wandering Souls....enjoy your JAM
tomorrow!
