First crossing was rock hoppable barely but with more rain could be tricky. 2nd crossing and little crossings were fine |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
2 minor blowdowns easily navigated. Given all the recent rain and Irene this trail is in great shape. It has been well maintained with much effort on waterbars. |

Real dreary today -- so perfect for Hale. Great carpet of red maple leaves, lots of yellow in the lower elevation, and beautiful hobble bush yellows and reds near the summit. |
