| Comments: |
Great day out. Bare boots until about 3300' when the ice became unavoidable. Ice had no snow on it after the rains and was solid. Spikes were fine as long as reasonably sharp. Kinsman Ridge was in excellent shape. No monorail yet but the trail was hard packed snow and made for a quick trip. Usual rock faces were free of snow. Coming back down on Mt. Kinsman Trail the ice had softened a bit which made for safer, easier travel. |
