The little lot was empty, just us. Note for the people that seem to ask everyday: all roads we passed on the way over are still gated (Haystack Rd, Gale River Rd x2, Zealand - people are parking in front of the gate - don't be like that). |

Quick trip out this morning before the clouds rolled in with Denise and Eric. We easily barebooted to the junction and then probably left our spikes off a little too long per usual up the Jackson Branch. Scrambles up top are bare. Below that is lots of ice, but it is soft and provides good traction. Still some good snowpack below the summit, I saw a posthole that looked to be at least 3 feet deep. Monorail is still stable for now but it's going to be an interesting week with the temps staying elevated. |
