 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No issues. I'd met the volunteer PLC land steward for this property on a previous visit, and he keeps the place in great shape. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Since these trails lie within a wildlife sanctuary, dogs are required to be leashed. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Pack yer headnet/bug spray if planning to take a break at the summit. The unofficial NH state birds are back and they were pretty bad at the top. |

 | Comments: |
A beautiful morning for another visit to the high point of Bedford.
These trails were all completely dry and trouble-free. On the descent, I used two informal, unmarked trails (signed as unmaintained, but not prohibiting foot traffic) that make a more direct route back to the trailhead than the numerous long switchbacks on Holbrook Hill Trail. Note that one of these trails comes very close to a private residence.
The abundant mountain laurel on Lo Flo Trail looks like it's getting ready to pop soon. |
