 | Water Crossing Notes: |
There are 3 crossings, there is 1 at about 2 miles in that can be difficult. Today it was easy with the help us trekking poles and I carried my kids across in my back. Crossed right that the trail and barely got my boots wet. After lots of rain or snow melt it could be tricky. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blazes seem to have been updated with some new pink blazes so there are a mix of red and pink for Mount Shaw trail. |

My kids and I had an awesome day hiking Mount Shaw! The one thing I was nervous about was the water crossing noted in previous trail reports but it wasn’t an issue today (see above notes). Other than that I do recommend having a paper map and nav app to help with navigation as it can be a little tricky at times. Only saw theee very smal patches of leftover snow on the side of the trail on the ridge. Otherwise completely clear of snow and ice. |
