Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There are 3 crossings, there is 1 at about 2 miles in that can be difficult. Today it was easy with the help us trekking poles and I carried my kids across in my back. Crossed right that the trail and barely got my boots wet. After lots of rain or snow melt it could be tricky.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Blazes seem to have been updated with some new pink blazes so there are a mix of red and pink for Mount Shaw trail.

Comments
Comments: My kids and I had an awesome day hiking Mount Shaw! The one thing I was nervous about was the water crossing noted in previous trail reports but it wasn’t an issue today (see above notes). Other than that I do recommend having a paper map and nav app to help with navigation as it can be a little tricky at times. Only saw theee very smal patches of leftover snow on the side of the trail on the ridge. Otherwise completely clear of snow and ice.
