 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The Piper Trailhead parking lot was cleared and had a good iron ranger, trash can, and accessible facilities. |
|

Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The Chocorua River was high and fast today. I saw no good place to rock-hop and I suspect some logs may have been washed away. I thought it safest to get my feet wet. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some blowdowns. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
I saw a few. |

 | Comments: |
There is still significant snow at the upper parts of the Carter Ledge, Liberty, and Middle Sister Trails, but the ledges themselves are almost entirely free of snow and ice. Bring microspikes but expect to be pulling them on and off several times. |
