Water Crossing Notes: All easy rock hops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Couple of blowdowns that could use attention on upper Bennett Street, one of which was extremely fresh (it covered what appeared to be recent tracks in the snow). One blowdown is situated in a way that could throw you off the trail if you’re not careful.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw two other pups so ours got in a couple of good sniffs. Met a Golden Retriever who had found a deer antler and was quite attached to it.
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a few here and there.

Comments
Comments: Small patches of snow started to appear around 2200 feet (basically once the trees switched to mostly pine and spruce). Abrupt change to full coverage just above 2700 feet. There was only a very short stretch of unstable monorail. Typical spring snow that got worse as the day went on. Postholed a few times as a result. Probably still two feet at highest elevations (I only know this because I postholed to my knee). Glad we went up today instead of tomorrow. Snow conditions will only get worse.

View was great today!
