Comments
Comments: Decided to take the ski trails to the summit today. Ascent: Mittersille Lift line, Saddle, Taft Slalom. Descent: Vista Way, Middle Cannon, Rock Garden, Lower Cannon and a walk over back to car parked at Mittersill.

Bare booted to the Mittersill summit; no snow on lift line and avoidable / soft over the Mittersill summit in to the saddle. Taft Slalom was snow covered and icy so spikes went on and remained on the the remainder of hike until reaching the main base lodge. The ski slopes selected for descent were granular snow covered; icy patches could be avoided since there is plenty of space.

Quite windy at the summit. Two women came up the Kinsman ridge trails and said it was quite icy and suggested using crampons instead of spikes; they were debating taking the ski trails down since they did not have crampons. Others came up the high cannon trail, and said it was OK, ladder free of snow and ice.

Plenty of skiers out skinning up and enjoying the thicker snow covered ski trails; several still have several feet of snow.
