Great day to be out on this ridgeline!! Sunshine, warm temps, and a cool breeze. Cannon tram lot to Lincoln Woods over 14.3 miles and ~4500 feet elevation gain. Busy day around Lafayette and Lincoln, many people doing the loop. It was nice to step off into the section between Haystack and Liberty and only see 3 people in that stretch. Met one woman at the Liberty Spring junction who had just completed her NH48 on Flume, congrats to her. Another friendly woman we spoke with on Liberty takes dogs who are in temporary foster homes out hiking, how cool! She photographs and blogs about them in hopes of getting them adopted to good homes. Cheers to her!! Visit her blog at www.fosterdogsummit.com. |
