Comments
Comments: A nice day for this hike. We barebooted until part way up the Brutus, then Hillsounds from there until 4 or 5 miles from LW. The trail is bare and dry until the end of the Black Pond bushwack then intermittent hard snow packs that eventually takeover the trail. The trail turned to crunchy new snow which provided good grip up to the summit but had softened for the descent for some slippage and controlled falling down the Brutus.
