Comments
Comments: a nicely sheltered hike of these peaks. Even so treetops were dancing at the viewpoint of Starr King and Waumbek. the first .7 miles of the trail today was slushy mud. at upper elevations new snow ranged from 2-4" of of heavy snow. Surprisingly i encountered drifting as well just before Starr King and again just before Waumbek. Was able to bareboot the entire way but highly recommend micros when this new snow melts as it is covering large amounts of ice. it was nice briefly chatting with the 2 others i met while descending
