Comments
Comments: Tripoli Road was half bare ground half old packed snow and ice, barebooting was easy. First mile of Mount Osceola Trail is mostly bare with some snow and ice, easily navigated. Fresh one to two inches of snow above 3K over a very choppy trail, light traction worked best. Some poor hiker(s) postholed about 50 times the two miles below the summit during the warm up over the past few days. Between peaks the snow was a little uneven but solid, used the chimney bypass, easy going.

Tomorrow expect potholing below Osceola's summit with the warm temps. Come Tuesday and Wednesday you may need snowshoes again depending on how much snow falls during the next storm.
