 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Flume visitors center (not in operation, so empty lots). |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable), Mud - Significant |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Bridged |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No blowdowns. Lots of erosion and trail creep. Walking off trail around ice monorail only makes things worse, and causes more environmental damage than littering! |

 | Comments: |
Trail was damp down low with some muddy areas. Patchy ice monorail higher up, becoming steady for the last 0.1 to 0.2 mile of trail before the cliff (patchy snow in the woods as well). I was able to bareboot with care without stepping off the monorail, but others may fell more comfortable with spikes.
A few stray showers, but otherwise just cloudy this morning. |
