Comments
Comments: Barebooted up to Pierce with only a couple spots that required some care. From Pierce to Eisenhower and re-traced Crawford Path back to the Highland Center wore crampons--they did most of their best work on the descent back to the car. Probably didn't need them anywhere between Pierce and Eisenhower (post-hole hell) but left them on for the final (fast) descent. Saw a chopper flying over Eisenhower around 1:30 pm which was for an injured snowboarder. Also read today that someone slipped on this same trail coming off Eisenhower and had to be carried out to the Notch on a stretcher. I didn't see that hiker because I was back to the car by 4 pm. Round-trip was 4.5 hrs so the trails are quite fast.
