Roadwalk was a flat, dry delight and there was a dusting of grippy snow in the morning atop the ice/monorail so I barebooted most of the way up to the Snapper jct, kept spikes on all the way to the ravine lodge on the descent as said dusting of snow had melted off. Beautiful weather for a slushfest on Moosilauke as the monorail is actively disintegrating into soft, soupy slush. Few small wind drifts in the patch of trees between the summit and knob at the end of the ridge. Spikes are perfect and accept/expect wet feet. Was a carwash the entire ascent and most of the descent until crossing the bridge |
