Comments
Comments: A good day for this hike with good trail conditions overall. We used light traction while some switched to crampons for the snow covered, icy descent from South. There are many crampon worthy icy sections on the ascent to North as well and it's probably a necessity if you choose to decide to descend that trail. The trail is mostly hard packed snow otherwise which made for easy trekking. April showers started at the summit, fortunately it was light snow showers. As we traversed over to South, the precip got more sleet like and the wind picked up. Some bursts of side ways sleet whipped up from time to time to sting the face. The winds calmed as we descended and the return trail had a light coating of snow. Congrats to Pam who gridded out these two peaks today!
