Not much to add to yesterday's report. Trail conditions are good. I bare-booted to a point less than 1/2 of a mile past the second water crossing, then microspikes from there to the summit and back to that same point. The transition from open trail to snow and ice happens very quickly. Traction was good this morning, which I attribute to temperatures just below the freezing mark last night. |
