Boscawen Hill Loop is a new trail within Boscawen Town Forest that goes over a hill in Boscawen that is not officially named Boscawen Hill; the USGS topo gives no name to this 690 ft. hill just to the north of Little Pond. The trail makes a loop over the hill, but bypasses the wooded summit slightly, which is reached by a very short bushwhack. Not recognized, but obvious.
All of these trails were generally dry with a few areas of mud. Weir Road Trail just north of Hardy By-Pass is flooded from the adjacent beaver swamp, as it frequently is (this is why Hardy By-Pass exists). |
