Comments: A beautiful day for a 3.0 mi. walk along Cranberry Meadow Pond Trail; can't believe I hadn't been on this before. It's quite lovely! Nice views right from the trailhead toward Pack Monadnock. The trail also crosses a beautiful marsh on a long boardwalk and climbs beside a brook with numerous small cascades.

A friend advised me this trail would be wet, but it wasn't too bad. There were some areas of running water and mud, but things were mostly dry, even after the rain yesterday.

On the return trip, I did a short bushwhack to the wooded summit of Oak Hill, which the trail bypasses. I had read of a cleared view on top, but I found nothing but trees and ancient skid roads. I also hiked both branches of Wheeler Trail to check out the parking area on NH 101.

A pretty quiet day out there with only a few other folks encountered.
