ice in the morning, slush down low by early afternoon. Lots of people climbing Tecumseh today - probably saw 30+. Finally met "the gingerhiker", sue, pat, bill, julie, and jackson. Used trail crampons up and down and they were perfect. The low loop on the Tecumseh trail below the summit is quite icy in places and best climbed. I came down it naturally. Hiked out the Sosman Trail as well. Not a soul out there. Sosman is drifted in places and has postholes, but the trail has an icy crust that is quite supportive. Chip, E-or, and I had a snack on the bench overlooking the Tripyramids. |
