 | Comments: |
Almost no snow at all for first 1.1 miles. After that we put spikes on, only removing for a set of rock steps that were devoid of snow, and also at the bare ledge just after the summit where the best views are. Lots of bare ledge as you traverse the summit. Snow depths on the way up varied from trace to over a foot, but trail was packed and solid and we didn't posthole. Past hikers have, however, so the hard-packed snow was full of holes much of the way. |
