The trail was in perfect and near perfect winter conditions. Spikes only, although there was about four inches of fresh beautiful snow about 2 miles up in some areas. Thank you to the two young ladies who broke trail both ways in snow shoes. The summit was perfect for viewing and picture taking even with the 10-15 mile cold wind. Kudos to all the hikers that went beyond the summit for others. This great hike out and back was a perfect out and back on this straight up mountain path to the summit of Mount Pierce! |
