Comments
Comments: Day 145, Peak 133. 3rd hike and 3rs peak of the day after the Daltons. Temps in the mid-upper 40s and cloudy.

I walked north along the road very briefly, then turned right onto Mount View Lane before realizing my mistake. The road that goes to Agassiz is actually situated between an old antique store and house on the other side set slightly behind in the woods. It will feel a bit awkward passing so close by them but this is indeed the road you are supposed to use to access the peak. There is a small sign welcoming hikers just beyond the house.

I followed the road to the summit area. Both down low and up higher closer to the peak there was some snow/ice. Microspikes would’ve been helpful at times but it wasn’t consistent enough to make it worth putting them on in my opinion but some may want them so might still be worth carrying them. There is a house at the summit so you can’t go to the true high point (and I didn’t see a register nearby) but a small sign and arrow directs you to a magnificent vista to Cannon, Lafayette, Garfield Ridge, etc. on my way down, I noted some (mountain bike) trails diverging from the summit area. Not sure where they start.

The hike is about 1.75mi with 575ft of gain. It took me 50min to complete including some time to take photos at the summit. 220 more days and 232 more peaks to go…
