 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Tricky… Red ridge break off is not doable without getting wet. Major water crossing on moat Mtn trail also the same, but there are 2 trees to the left to cross on or one large tree over to the right to cross. Did both with ease.. if you have a dog, they will be getting wet on the crossings. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Decent amount of small blow downs, did what I could. Around the 3 mile mark there is a tree leaning up high with the top of another broken off tree stuck in it. Keep your heads up |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
If taking your dog, make sure they can handle getting really wet at the water crossings. My shepherd had no issues |
|
 | Bugs: |
None |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Plenty of crap at Diana’s baths area |

 | Comments: |
Snowshoes will be needed around the 4 mile mark as temps warm up. It’s rotting snow with crotch deep post holes. I was out early enough that it stayed frozen so my shoes got a free ride. In between north and middle is the same. Over to south not really needed.
Original plan was to head up red ridge but that water crossing isn’t really possible without getting wet feet or taking off shoes… too early in the day for me to accept that, so a true out and back. See above water crossing notes |
