Comments
Comments: Great day for a hike. Took the snowshoes out for fresh air, but didn't need them. Only a few rocks visible, mostly still snow covered. Snow getting thin at the bottom with more rocks. Above timberline everything was covered with ice and a bit of snow the wind had not blown away. In the middle the snow was deeper, but monorail firm so only postholed if stepping off the trail. Saw some postholes but they were frozen hard. Spikes needed, but not snowshoes. Snow was a bit soft at the bottom in the afternoon, but no problem. At the summit mean looking low grey clouds showed up but didn't do much. Had a few flurries during the day.
