 | Comments: |
Beaver Brook XC Ski trail, Gale River Road, and the first 1.5ish miles of Gale River Trail are easily bare booted, quite a bit of frozen mud and standing water over this stretch. From the reverse S curve at the old trail/reroute microspikes were perfect from here to the summit. Trail is firm although quite bumpy in spots from last week/weekends warmup.
Quiet and cold morning on Galehead. Sarge and I had the trails to ourselves which was a nice surprise, good views from the hut and the Frost outlook |
