Parking/Access Road Notes: A few spots at the trailhead end of Lot #1
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow - Spring Snow, Leaves - Significant/Slippery
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No snow bridges. Fairly easy rock hopping/stepping. Some small trunks make the middle crossing easier
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape. A few spots need brushing, and there are ~3 lean-intos. One blowdown protrudes into the trail at ankle height, not hard to avoid. It will need to be sawn or pushed further into the woods. I tried to move it but it was stuck between trees
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one, before I saw any humans! Dog was trying to do a ccw loop near the summit. His owners called him back
Bugs
Bugs: None (but I saw a chipmunk;-)

Comments
Comments: A peaceful, quiet day on Tecumseh. Mashed potato snow down low, but it's not deep. Higher up, the condition of the trail is better, altho there are a number of icy patches. Spikes are best all the way. I saw some recent snowshoe prints. Very few postholes, except where there were bypasses around icy sections. There isn't enough snow for deep postholes.
