I got a late start at Tramway with light winds and warm temps. The trail rises quickly and keeps climbing as it crosses the gladed ski trails of Cannon Mountain. As I reached the level section of trail entering the Notch, the wind started picking up significantly, a descending hiker told me it was "breezy" up there. As I reached the summit dome, the fog had lowered visibility to zero and the wind speed reached 50+ blowing me over at one point. I decided to turn around at this point saving Profile for my first attempt, next winter. |
