| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at Lincoln Woods. Lot at Garfield Trailhead was full with cars parked along the side of road. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All rock hoppable. A couple of the crossings on Farnconia Brook and Lincoln Woods provided a good test of balance, but all were manageable. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Franconia Brook is a wild trail and a little overgrown in spots above 13 Falls Tentsite. Plenty of blowdowns on FBT below 13 Falls and especially between Twin Brook and Hellgate crossings. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Numerous dogs at summit of Garfield and a well behaved and tired dog at 13 Falls. I would not recommend trying to ascende Franconia Brook Trail from 13 Falls to GarfieldRidge with a dog. Pretty demanding terrain for our four legged friends. |
| Bugs: |
None. |
| Lost and Found: |
Passed a nice Red Sox shirt and Patagonia Hat on Garfield Trail. |
