Comments
Comments: I've long maintained that it's the "easiest" trails that will challenge you. Today was no exception. Greely Ponds up to Timber Camp was not bad, your choice of traction. Timber Camp became the Timber Camp Throwdown. What started as a beautiful snowshoe trail quickly gave way to so many postholes and deteriorating conditions that I found myself sinking near to my waist. Small people beware! Finisher 54, who has been with me on some truly wacky hikes fared better. Goodrich Rock was icy but stable and easy enough to walk around any questionable spots. Save that one for a fine weather day and enjoy the impressive boulders. Regardless, time well spent in the woods.
