Comments
Comments: A beautiful day for another visit to Nottingcook Forest; the third time in a week. It's great to have this gem nearby.

Today's high temp was around 70, so any remaining ice was vanishing quickly. Lots of wet areas and muddy stretches as a result. Spikes definitely not needed, and tomorrow's rain should wash away the rest of the ice.

I did a bit of a meandering loop over the outlook, which still has excellent views to the NE. The walk back along the edge of Hornbeam Swamp is just lovely. The Great Hill end of the forest gets more traffic because of the views, but this eastern end is wild, beautiful, and quiet.
