Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Noyes Rd is plowed (coming in from the east) until the small spur rd jutting out SW at the southernmost point of Noyes Rd. I pulled onto the spur rd thinking it was Noyes Rd and soon found myself face-to-face with a logging truck and operation so I backed down and parked at the jct of the two roads. I asked one of the loggers if I was far enough out of the way for them to get the tractor trailer out. He said to pull ahead a little ways on Noyes Rd because he’d have to turn real wide. I did but later realized that I then partially blocked Noyes Rd. A snowmobile could’ve gotten by me but maybe not a car…hopefully cars aren’t coming down unplowed roads in winter though. Note that I came from Mudget Mtn and because Creampoke Rd south of Mudget Hill are appeared unplowed, I had to drive all the way out to 145, to Bear Rock Rd, then to Noyes Rd to access the peak. The roads in were mostly dirt and sometimes soft and rutted. If they got a much softer it could be difficult to control your car.

Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A dog at the logging operation was barking at me but the owner seemed to have it under control. I wonder if it was the one that accompanied a group of hikers to Lovering awhile ago! I heard some snowmobiles as I started my whack, but other than that I think this would be a fine hike for dogs.

Comments
Comments: Day 131, Peak 115. 2nd hike of the day after Mudget Mtn. I walked west along Noyes Rd to the HOL, then whacked SW up to the peak through some thick young growth at first but soon opening up and having descent woods most of the way if you picked and chose where you went. Grades were easy-moderate. Snow conditions made for quick travel with a supportive crust and thus minimal “sinkage” in snowshoes which I wore the entire time. I found the jar easily enough and returned in my tracks. Roughly a 2.5mi hike with 400ft of gain taking me about an hour. 234 more days and 250 more peaks to go…
