Comments
Comments: Challenging 9+ mile hike with the trail’s icy 41 degree slopes. Water ice in steep areas made crampons a must for a safe descent. Used snowshoes with heel lifts for the uphill sections. Not a “bluebird day” with little wind and almost too warm conditions made the trail transition from crusty and icy to soft and mushy.
