At the gated end of Stryker Rd. in Springfield. The road was pretty rutted and very muddy; AWD recommended. |

A few small blowdowns scattered about. Trail is marked with older yellow blazes and newer orange blazes. |

The trail is located on private property but the landowner welcomes hikers (and other public recreational use) as long as they stay on the marked route; please be cool here.
The NE approach of the trail is quickly melting spring snow of a minimal depth. The E ridge is mostly bare. I barebooted round-trip. No big vistas here, but there are three viewpoints which look S and W. The high point appears to be a low bump near a stone wall. 0.5 mi. from parking to summit. |
