A nice day up Eisenhower today. Still snow on the ground but there are icy spots even at lower elevation. Trails are in good shape all the way to the junction up to Pierce. Between Pierce and Ike there are mix of packed snow, some drifty spots, and lots of ice skating rink for you to enjoy. There are a few obvious posthole spots but easily avoidable. Going up Eisenhower loop is the same mix of hard pack and ice. It was bare at the top of Ike.
All in all a good day in the mountain! |
